About Hollow Hill

We started the farm in 2017 when we got chickens and from there we started adding in other animals. First a pony, then pigs and goats. Things grew from there until we decided a move was the best for the farm and our family.

Hollow Hill is now located in Chester County, PA on the historic Coventry Forge Farm where we are surrounded by Warwick Park and French Creek. We raise our animals with care and as close to natural as possible. The fields have begun to be planted with additional trees for shade and forage as well as the pigs have a diet that is custom made to ensure that their diet is balanced with their primary diet of our beautiful lush pastures and silvopastures.

We are currently under construction on the main house and once that is complete we will be a farm of three generations living here in harmony with the land. We have many plans for the future which includes planting an orchard which will be not only for personal enjoyment but also for the animals as well as for customer sales.

We are a family owner and operated farm established in 2017 when we moved from Ohio back to Pennsylvania. When we moved back we had one horse, two dogs, one cat and two young boys. As we settled into the new home we got chickens right away to start our new life direction and have the kids involved. We never expected that life on a farm would lead us to where we are today but we are happy it did.

When we bought our first farm we wanted chickens for our own family use. Before we knew it the one horse became two and both moved to the farm, from there we decided to raise out a few feeder pigs and quickly fell in love with having pigs and began the journey of breeding after finding and falling in love with the Idaho Pasture Pig.

It was not long before we added more as we found a harmony in each species and how they balance the farm and benefit each other. And a "few" more animals of all kinds.

Julie's passion of animals and learning how to best care for them has let to her becoming the President of the Idaho Pasture Pig Breed Association.  In the association she is able to help educate and bring awareness to the breed.
